The issue is not whether roaming charges are too high, but whether they should be applied at all! The European Union is first and foremost meant to be a single market agreement, whereas in mobile telecomunications the member countries continue to be totally separate markets. The telecoms giants take advantage of the single market where it suits them but do not apply the same principle when it doesn't. Where is the single market for mobile telecoms?!
Most operators already send these kind of messages for voice calls and sms messages. They should be obliged to do it also, and in detail, for data roaming.
